If there’s a school, then there’s homework. When will we get rid of this stuff? Because there is no proven benefits, harm is done to these kids, and it results in lower grades. Schools should just completely stop giving out homework. We should be done tormenting kids with homework. According to, “No Proven Benefits” by Alfie Kohn, there really are no benefits. Kids get so frustrated by their homework that they get exhausted and are forced to miss after-school activities. This is unfortunate because parents pay a lot of money for sports and instrument lessons. The other annoying thing is that teachers give out extra homework as a disciplinary system, which could also mess up the kids after school schedule. Teachers also give out rewards for doing extra homework which would make kids miss even more extracurricular activities. In the end homework just doesn’t cooperate for kids busy schedules.

The article titled, “The Potential Harm” says homework harms kids mentally and physically! Kids are supposed to be able to relax their mind for a minimum of thirty minutes daily. These

At home, kids might not be able to complete homework because the supplies needed like textbooks or computers cost money and kids lack the correct supplies. This would be really irritating, especially if money is tight for parents. Since kids have such compact schedules they will either rush the homework or even just not do it and get detention because of it. Although homework is a chance to bump up your grade, it just never goes as the teacher plans. Homework will just never work for these kids.

Homework absolutely needs to be abolished. This stuff has no positive benefits, it’s mentally and physically harmful, and it causes atrocious grades. Do you want this to happen to your kids? Stand up and say something, get homework banned before your kids get
