Many parents and children had conflict in the Great Depression times. Many times these children ran away. When the children would come back they would hopefully give their parents a chance. Just a Josh does in “No Promises in the Wind” by Irene Hunt. Like Josh I am much like my parents. I am much like my father because I have his temper, but I am like my mother because I don't like to be, or be by someone being yelled at. All of the men in my family has the “McCabe temper”. Which is when we get worked up over small things, such as someone not doing a chore. I also have the calmness of my mother, we don't like being yelled at or someone else yelling at a loved one.
