Religion is not required to appreciate the family and get the benefits from a healthy one; however, it is not easy in today’s world. Alcohol, drugs, pornography, social media, internet, television, and self obsession are weapons being used against the family and those with hopes to raise one. The family is becoming less of a focus in people’s lives and isn’t taken serious enough. The idea of traditional family is openly ridiculed. Why is it the every tv show or sitcom about a family depicts it so wrong? The father is an idiot. The mother is super-smart, hard to please, and very critical of her half-wit husband. The children are annoying and a huge burden. The family unit is publicly mocked. It is getting pushed aside and replaced by worldly definitions of success. There is a common belief that happiness comes from a successful career, full of recognition, when in reality, the greatest happiness is found in families.
