Relaxers chemically straightens your hair. Using relaxers it chemically straightens your hair from the roots/scalp. There are relaxers that has a chemical called “lye” in it. Lye is a chemical that breaks down hair bonds quickly. Lye has a higher pH balance than no lye relaxers. No lye relaxers are better for you than lye relaxers. When you get a relaxer you have to maintain it. No lye relaxers are most popular because they’re mild, safe, gentle relaxers. You can not get a relaxer for a month then wait five months to get a new one. Once you get a relaxer you have to get one every two months. If you don’t apply the relaxers as needed you can damage your hair.
Some people may say that even though they were maintaining their relaxers, the relaxers
