As you ride around Saginaw, you see more homes destroyed or condemned, then new ones. Everyone says that there is no future here. That the best future any of us could have is anywhere outside of Saginaw. Some say that it's true or some may say it's whatever we decide. There are no new business here. No new places here at all. Maybe there is no future here, or no good paths to take. A statement from my mother “ I don't want you to stay here in Saginaw, or even in Michigan. I want you to go out and explore. I want you to do better and bigger things. There is no future here. There's only bad paths here. And there are many bad people here. It's sad to say that there is no safety here. I never let any of you (my siblings and I) wonder beyond
