The No Child Left Behind law has been the reason states are using standardized tests to measure a students’ progress, a school’s success, and a state’s commitment to education. The pressure that is placed on principals and teachers may cause them to participate in unethical actions, such as being dishonest or cheating on high stakes test, consequently; it will have a negative impact on the students, school, and school district. If faced with this unethical decision made by a teacher in my school, it would be my ethical obligation to uphold the ethical duties and responsibilities as an educator in my profession.
