The NLN’s mission is to create a strong, competent workforce to enhance the overall health of the global community (Mission and Goals). To work towards this mission the organization has established four main goals. The first goal is to be the leader in nursing education. To achieve this goal objectives have been put into place such as innovation within nursing education and being the primary data source for legislation, regulations and decisions about education as well as nurse educator practices. The second goal is geared towards the organizations commitment to its members.
