Njhs Member To A Good Character Essay

Improved Essays
I believe an ideal NJHS member should be someone with a good character, someone who works well in groups, someone who is passing all their classes, someone who is willing to work before and after school if needed, and someone who is responsible. All of these things are important, because there is not always going to be someone around to tell them what to do and when to do it. So if they have these qualities, they can easily learn to work things out by themselves.
An NJHS member should be someone who has a good character because you don't want someone who will just be mean to everyone and be rude when they disagree. You want someone who can nicely disagree and easily help others with something that they need. Let's say that someone in the group

Everyone knows how bad it is when you are in a group project, and someone in the group takes over the whole thing and won’t let anyone else make suggestions. Someone like this can make the the project miserable for the rest of the group and it puts more work on themselves because they don’t think that anyone else is capable of doing the work, so that person has to do the work themselves.
You also want someone who is passing all classes. This way if we do projects in NJHS, the student won't feel overwhelmed with NJHS and trying to get their grades up in school. Someone who is passing all classes will have more free time because they won't have to constantly redo assignments. Also, if we meet for Eagle Time, a student with a passing grade will most likely not be in ZAP or be drafted a teacher for tutoring, so they would probably be free for Eagle Time.
NJHS needs someone who is willing to stay after school. Because if they are needed to stay after school, there won’t be a fuss since they are willing to stay. If they don’t want to, then they don’t have the responsibility that it takes to be an NJHS

A dynamic character changes significantly as a result of events, conflicts, or other forces. In The Crucible by Arthur Miller, Reverend John Hale exhibits dynamic character traits. As he changes his views on witchcraft, the court’s proceedings and the punishments assigned on innocent citizens, all throughout the play, he represents a dynamic character. John Hale is an outsider to Salem, Massachusetts, coming from Beverly. However, he is summoned to examine Reverend Parris’s ten-year-old daughter, Betty, who presumably has been cursed with witchcraft by their servant, Tituba.…

I love doing service not because I am forced to, but I get to be with my friends and is also a way for me to give back to the community. I love helping the needy and have participated in countless activities. For example, I was a part of a group that put together care kits for the homeless, picked up trash at a park, and created blankets for the needy. Being in NJHS will give me a chance to find even more ways to do more service and become a leader.…

The function of the National Honor Society (NHS) is to promote leadership and help develop character in students through community service. Being part of an organization like the National Honor Society would open doors to new opportunities such as tapping into a network of individuals that have similar interests as mine. If selected, I would help contribute to the growth of NHS by using my time helping other students achieve their goals academically, whether they need help with school work or studying. By mentoring, this would also help improve my leadership skills. I would also help contribute to the success of NHS by providing ideas for new projects that could positively impact the lives of fellow members and society in general for instance,…

I hope I can develop more leadership skills if I am accepted into NJHS.…

The top three colleges I chose are Hinds Community College, Mississippi State University, and Alcorn State University . Hinds is my first choice because I visited Hinds’ Nursing Allied Health Center on one of my various CDC field trips and I was amazed. I was shown how to be prepared for CPR, how to read the blood pressure machine, and just learn about all the programs they have to offer. I actually did plenty of .research on nursing and I think Hinds is just the place for me .…

According to the NASW dictionary, termination is “the conclusion of the social worker –client intervention process; a systematic procedure for disengaging the working relationship. It occurs when goals are reached, when the specified time for working has ended, or when the client is no longer interested in continuing.” (Felton & Polowy, 2015) Termination is an important, yet difficult process the worker and client go through.
