Nitro Compounds Chapter 1 Summary

Whenever the word nitro comes up it turns to something explosive. In chapter 5 it is mainly about nitro compounds and it explains what is and how it works based on the molecular structure. Nitro compounds are indeed explosive. Gun powder can be considered one of the earliest items to be referred as a fire chemical component. The gun powder components are known to be all reactive products which cause the reaction of an explosion. Nitro compounds are highly reactant and is stabled by a molecule which is nitrogen. The molecules which nitro compounds obtain do not bond together which makes the nitro compound explosive since there is no boding whatsoever. Using herbal medicines without the consent of a doctor was thought of using wrong and that it had to do with witchcraft. The reason behind all deaths was herbs and alkaloids. Alkaloids were thought to be good back in time but they were completely wrong. Alkaloids caused so much harm in the human body which leads to thousands of deaths. In chapter 16 it talks about the discovery of a chlorocarbon compound and how it impacted our society and changed history through it. A chlorocarbon compound is considered an organic compound which means that it can change the behavior of a molecule. Chlorocarbon compound is used to keep items refrigerated. At the beginning of time refrigeration just occur by freezing water but once the chlorocarbon compound was discovered it changed history. The chlorocarbon compound does have its requirement on how it properly has to be taken of. The chlorocarbon compound brought huge success to the commercial industry in refrigerators. At first refrigerant molecules were not safe but then chemist started to develop safe molecules that could be used in
