She refused to remove it because of her religious purpose, therefore her citizenship was on hold till about a year. The government had banned the wearing of the niqab when claiming your Canadian citizenship. The reason why the government has decided to ban the niqab because they think that the niqab is a threat and they need the people to be identified at the ceremony also they think the niqab is oppressive to women. We should focus on other issues like climate change, economy, and transportation. Zunera had not received the right as a person living in Canada would have established because her equality rights was attacked when she was discriminated for wearing a niqab and Kenney and Harper didn’t respect her when speaking about her. Zunera Justification/legal rights was also not presented because women with niqabs were physically attacking them and some of them would not want to leave their house. Last but not least Zunera felt that her fundamental rights were not existing because harper making assumption of the niqab and her without asking her. These three points are proving that the ban is unnecessary and that it would be against the Canadian law if it gets
