The book “Seeing is forgetting, the name of the thing one sees” by Lawrence Wechsler documents the life of contemporary artist Robert Irwin. The book documents Irwin from his early beginnings in suburban loss Angeles through his journey of self-discovery in finding his perspective in the art world. Irwin finally pursues some unrealistic goals of stripping objects of art down to an indeed a perception. He started working at a very young age where he acquired discipline and ethics which served him well later in his art career.
