For my technology review I will be looking into the Nintendo Switch which is a new game system that has innovated the gaming scene. I have not only seen them at the store, but I also own one which came to mind as an impulse buy but I have fallen in love with it the more I hold it and play with it. Another thing that brought me to purchasing the Nintendo Switch was their slogan, “designed to go wherever you do, transforming from home console to portable system in a snap. So you get more time to play games you love, however you like.” (Nintendo). With a statement like that it seems like the system is a major change in the gaming industry and no matter where you go you will have access to your games and never be bored again. Another big audience that they have planned for are all the die-hard Nintendo fans that have been with them since the Nintendo 64 came out back in the 90’s. Its deign is made to be compatible and portable to be able to be carried around with ease while still being able to be used as a home entertainment system for gaming. It must have a bit of fashion so that it could have the ability to be carried around without being outdated in design such as a bulky package that could be like the styling of a computer. If it were bulky and clunky no one would want to carry it around which would defeat the purpose of having a hybrid gaming system which is what Nintendo intended the Switch to be. It is also utilitarian based on all the features I have been claiming this whole time. Like every other gaming system out there I believe that it is a luxury since you do not really need gaming systems to survive. There are people out there that do rely on video games to sooth them and utilize them as ways relieving stress, but I still believe that they are not a
