Schools are supposed to be a safe environment for students all across America, however, that’s not the case. On February 14, 2018 the “Marjory Stoneman Douglas” school of Broward County suffered from a school shooting. The shooter was an nineteen year old kid with a semi-automatic
AR-15. Nikolas Cruz murdered seventeen highschool students and three staff members. This
incident was a devastating tragedy to Florida once again. Just a month and a half into the 2018 year
it was already the fortieth school shooting across America. Nikolas Cruz had an extremely
troubling background, primarily outside of school. His adoptive mother Linda Cruz called 911 a
myriad of times from 2008 to 2014. The calls that were made were mainly about intense
