Nikola Tesla was a man of wisdom. The war he had with Thomas edison went on for a long time. Nikola tesla invented the ac, a type of current we still use today. The whole war was over eddison and is dc current. Which means direct current. Tesla was born on July 10, 1856 in Smiljan, Croatia. He was not an american citizen at first. He came from the austrian empire to america. From 1856 to 1867 he was apart of the empire. Then he came to america and became a citizen here. His father was a priest and his mother was a creator and could remember rhymes. He was the fourth out of fifth child. when he moved to higher real gymnasium school he was influenced by a math teacher martin sekulic. Soon tesla was able to do integral calculus in his head. His work for edison first started in france but later he relocated to New york. …show more content…
The way it works is by the flow of electric charge periodically reverses direction. It is way more efficient because it can work over a long way in distance. In saying that this is kinda how the war between the two started. Tesla started out by coming to america to look for work with his ideas. so eddison noticed him and said he could work for him. So eddison already made the dc current, so he wanted tesla to make it more efficient. He told him he would give him 50000 if he did. So tesla was off to work very hardly. He worked and worked to do this for edison and the 50000. He finally finished and made what edison wanted. Edison takes his work but does not pay him the 50000 dollars. This is mostly how it all started. So he quit, going on working his own experiments, shoveling garbage. But one day a man comes up to him and said why don't you work for me and well he did.
