He was born in July of 1856, in the small town of Gospic. He was named after his father, Nikola Tesla. The last name of the Tesla’s is taken from an ax that has a “broad cutting blade at right angles from the handle”(in paper citation here). His older brother Dane died when he was thrown off a horse. He died in 1943.

Tesla coils consist of a power supply, a large capacitor, the coil, and electrodes. Early radio antennas and telegraphs used his Coils. They use electromagnetic resonance, which is produced by applying steady magnetic field and electromagnetic radiation (usually radio waves) to a sample of electrons and then adjusting both the strength of the magnetic field and the frequency of the radiation to produce absorption of the radiation("Electromagnetic Resonance - Springer." http://link.springer.com/10.1007%2F978-0-387-73003-5_431. One of the most disputed of his inventions is the radio. Some claim that Guglielmo Marconi invented the radio. Others claim Tesla did. He came up with the idea of a radio in 1892. He demonstrated this by driving a remote controlled boat from far away. He tried to sell it to the Navy but never succeeded. The United States Patents office said that Tesla did, but changed it later and gave the rights to Marconi.
That is the story of Nikola Tesla. He was an inventor and a genius. He was the father of modern invention. His road was a hard one and some of his inventions are never even thought of in daily life. Remember him forever, because he was a great
