Another interesting part of the capitol would have to be inside while walking through the building I found lots of statues that we have talked about in class. One of the statues that we have gone over in class was of the winged victory Nike of Samothrace the one we have in the capitol building is just the replica, the original one which was founded in Samothrace in Greece in 1863 by a French consul. This was really interesting because it was much bigger in person and you could see all the details on the statue, it had the Contrapposto stances which was better to see in person then in pictures, you get a 3D view of the statue itself. Some of the difference between the Nikes in the capitol and the Nike in the book is that the original is made
