Nike Sweat Shops
In the following paper, I will discuss the issues with Nike and their factories overseas. I will discuss if it is right to inflict our values on the workers, is the video a true example of Nike’s ethical standards, how Nike improved, and finally my opinion of Nike.
Inflicting western values
I do not think that is right to inflict western ideas or values on to another country. Although if there are companies that operate here and in another country then they need to make sure they use the same moral philosophy there that they must use here. Nike in 2011 was paying their workers in Tangerang, Indonesia 1.25 a day. While in the United States they paid their employees around 8.67 an hour.
