This paper addresses, some of the concepts of social responsibility, integrity, and other business ethics which were involved with Nike during it incidents of the below ethical standards. It goes into details of the right or wrong of inflicting our values on this society, was the video a true glimpse into Nike ethical standard, how they fixed the issues, and my opinion of them now.
Nike Sweat Shops
In the following paper, I will discuss the issues with Nike and their factories overseas. I will discuss if it is right to inflict our values on the workers, is the video a true example of Nike’s ethical standards, how Nike improved, and finally my opinion of Nike.
Inflicting western values
I do not think that is right to inflict western ideas or values on to another country. Although if there are companies that operate here and in another country then they need to make sure they use the same moral philosophy there that they must use here. Nike in 2011 was paying their workers in Tangerang, Indonesia 1.25 a day. While in the United States they paid their employees around 8.67 an hour. All corporations should be required to view matters of morality and humanity for the workers

Their Code includes the standards of hiring practices, wages, freedom of association and health and safety. Nike has been trying to redo its image as a company with sustainability as a core mission. They faced up to what it owed their workers and paid them what was legally and ethically required. Their Code of Conduct is an important part of their sourcing strategy, factory audits they review contract factories to assess their ability to meet Nike’s high standards.
