Mr.Wilkinson Assigned us (his Caledonia Careers Class) a project called the ‘Stock Market’ Project. He gave us each $5,000 (Fake of course) to buy stocks (also fake but we still used the real numbers) and to see how much we could make from spending as much of the fake $5,000 as we could. I liked deciding what companies I wanted to buy stocks from. It was cool watching how much money I made (or lost) and to see what cool things you can do with google sheets. I didn’t really understand what it was that we were learning though. Were we just learning how to buy stocks? Maybe it was what the stock market is? Once I attempted to spread my portfolio to less known stocks, my portfolio decreased in value leading to weeks of low rankings among the class. The next couple of weeks of class led to a greater knowledge in the derivatives markets such as options and futures.…

1: Should Nike be held responsible for working conditions in foreign factories that it does not own, but where subcontractors make products for Nike? Ans: Nike should be held responsible for its subcontractors, as it is operating in countries which lower its costs and increasing its profit. Nike should be accountable, as they are huge firm which holds considerable international authority and when making the contract it holds the final decision, as they can find other subcontractors, so Nike should be able to specify what kinds of working conditions it should have and not have in the factories and it is possible they might not have much influence in the foreign country but I am sure they can specify working conditions that are acceptable by…
