Nike Free Run Ad Analysis

Decent Essays
Some of the AD's that I see aren't as memorable as the Nike Free Run AD. The Nike Free Run AD has one of the best ADs in America. Every time I see the AD it always makes me want to buy a new pair of Nike shoes...why? well Nike Company knows how to sell their products and how to do it really well. They Advertise new shoes almost every month or maybe some times after two weeks. I choose this AD because every time I watch Tv and see the Nike shoes it makes me more interested in shoes and it makes me want to get right up go to the mall and buy Nike shoes. Some of the Techniques they used were "Liking" they make you like their products by making it really comfortable and they even make shoes that felt like socks and you can slide them right on.

The Nike commercial successfully appealed to logos ethos and pathos, but most effectively appeals to pathos. The ad begins quietly, with just a bit of cricket noise, as the audiance sees the boy slowly jogging towards the camera. As he gets closer, it is obvious that he is no athlete that is being sponsored by Nike. He is used to make a connection to the audience who, if they are not like him themselves, almost certainly know someone who looks like him. This connection quickly establishes that Nike’s are meant for anyone.…

Sports is a big thing in the american culture, but to play a sport you need the equipment.…

The setting displayed in this advertisement is interesting. Nike is aiming at a professional feeling atmosphere to further the idea that these cleats will help you play like a professional. The advantages of having a cast like this of many different professions are that everyone that watches this advertisement is most likely appealed to one or more of the cast members. The advertisement starts off with Rob Gronkowski waking up from his bed in the morning to be surprised by the fact that it is snowing very hard. He then gets excited exclaiming that it is a snow day.…

First of all, this ad is this most recent of the three ads we have shown you and because of this we see Nike’s newest, best looking, and “freshest” gear on display. Furthering this idea of new sporting notions this ad includes star athletes from a wide range of different sports. Athletes including Mike Trout, Garrett Richards, Misty May-Treanor, the Thompson brothers, Mia Hamm, Andrew Luck, and Anthony Davis, all of whom are established stars in their respective sports or up and coming athletes in their individual sports. It is also important to note that the description for this video is “the longest pick up game ever on the hottest day of the year”.
