Dr. Connelly describes night terrors as being a sleeping disorder in which a person has episodes of extreme screaming or crying because of fear while being asleep. There are many reasons that a person may suffer from night terrors. Dr. Connelly explains that night terrors are caused by stress, fever, or sleep deprivation.
