In today’s demanding world, a good night’s sleep can ultimately be the difference between success, and failure. Although many “Night Owls” claim that they function well on minimal sleep; numerous studies have concluded that for children in particular, the lack of appropriate rest can cause devastating social, physical, and academic issues. Therefore, in order to prevent the harmful effects associated with sleep deprivation, young students should get plenty of rest each night to allow their brain sufficient time to process information, help support the body’s growth needs, and avoid short tempered behavior during the day.
