College students that identify themselves as “morning people” scored a whole grade higher than those who identify themselves as “night owls” according to a study done by University of Texas. Waking up in the early times of the morning not only give you a jumpstart on your day but can also enhance your performance throughout it. Rising bright and early sets the tone for the rest of your day and also reduces stress. Another major factor, waking up earlier creates healthier eating habits. Obesity is an ongoing war for our country so maintaining a healthy diet is a key factor to winning this battle. Not only does healthy eating controls weight, it also improves your mood, combats diseases such as diabetes, depression, arthritis and many more.
