In the book Night by Elie Weisel, there are events that violate human rights. According to article two of the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights”, “ Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, language, religion etc. This right was violated when the Jews were not allowed to own valuables. “Jews were henceforth forbidden to own gold, jewelry, or any valuables”. “We no longer had the right to frequent. . . to travel by rail to attend synagogues (10-11).
