Night By Elie Wiesel Summary

The two main characters are Bruno and Gretel. Bruno is a nine year old boy that lives in Berlin and moves to poland because his father is the military commandant and they have to live by a concentration camp that is being held by jews, but he still does not know why he is there. Gretel is Bruno’s twelve year old sister known as the ‘Hopeless case’ and is always in everyone else's business, she also thinks that she knows what’s best for Bruno, she like to treat him like a six year old, she also wanted to make sure that he knew she was in charge and he did what she told him to do. The boys clothes are not pajamas, they are uniforms issued to the captives at Auschwitz. the boy’s name is Shmuel, and because he has a star on his “pajamas,” the reader will realize that Shmuel is a Jew.All the races of people the Nazi passionately tried to exterminate the Jews more than any other group tried to. …show more content…
He does not want to leave Berlin and does not want to do what his family, especially his father, wants to do. Bruno finds himself in conflict with the changing attitudes around him. Bruno is in opposition to the Nazi lifestyle that advances one group of people to the cost of another. At the train depot where bruno notices different modes of reality in the same instant, it becomes clear that Bruno is in conflict, or at least, not with the world around him. The climax can make the reader feel tense that they will have trouble and Bruno who is not the part of the Jew is also involved too. While Bruno and Shmuel fining papa, it makes wondering that Bruno can go back home and be normal again before the reader knows the end of the story. The falling action is that the narrator reveals the death of these two boys. This is a tragedy because at first the narrator brings the reader to a happy friendship but at the end, the story makes the reader feel very sad about their death that is not supposed to happen to
