I thought that both were very powerful stories and both really drew my attention, but in my opinion I think the book was more captivating and powerful because it told the whole story in so much detail. And the book made me more interested and I understood more of what he was saying in the book. I feel that the speech was very interesting also but it didn't really make me that interested and it didn't make that much of sense. But the book had a lot more detail I feel like and also I just feel like the book made me understand what happened more in the Holocaust. I feel that he shared more of his emotions in the book because I understood more and I could feel part of his pain, although I wasn't there I felt like I was when I was reading the book, …show more content…
This book was so informative and filled with o many descriptive words that I feel everyone could understand. Although the real thing was so painful no one there could ever describe it, I understand as much as could be told, and I feel that the author did a great job of describing his pain and other people's pain that were present in the book. And speech was very good also, it was descriptive and it made everyone listen and it made everyone sad and have a picture in their head, but I feel that the book was definitely more informative and way more captivating. This book had so much detail on what the Holocaust was like and how it felt like, and some parts didn't make sense , because when the SS man would torture the Jews in the book, I feel they do it for no reason, you could like feel their anger as Idek was whipping Elizer in the back 25 times, you could hear the shots as the SS man would shoot the Jews if they stopped running or even slowed just a little bit. All these things you could see and feel and hear as you were reading. It was such a horrible story that I and no one else would wish this apon anyone. And I'm very glad that Elizer shared his story and I'm glad that we are learning about this because it makes us all understand all the pain people went through in the

I feel like the movie is over exaggerating with the holocaust even though i really like that part in the movie. In the book they did not talk as much about it as they did the movie. The part of the movie i didn’t really like was that they ended it right at the end of sophomore year. I would really like to see the rest of the story visually not reading it. So i think you can basically see which one i prefer, the book or the movie.…

Together, they risk their lives to save the young Jew's father. Both stories share the same main topic, the Holocaust during World War II.…

One major difference between the two is that the movie ends and leaves the audience in hope. While on the other hand, the book leaves the reader in great guilt and despair. Though the book sounds better than the movie it does have an edge by being able to show the hardship of discrimination amongst society. It really gives the audience a look on how group conformity is supporting the cause. Although, the book is more straightforward and has a cause and effect action, with the war being in effect.…
