1. INTRODUCTION
In the 21st century there was an emerging movement of art Postmodernism (Palmer 2014). Postmodernism was derived from its predecessor modernism (Palmer 2014). Palmer (2014) stated that postmodernism has too many complex ideologies and cannot be defined. Nevertheless, there was a claim by Nicolas Bourriaud that postmodernism has ended and divided to post-postmodernism (Altermodern 2009). The following essay will contrast against Bourriaud’s claim. It will provide brief historical characteristics of postmodernism and also give inside contextualisation of Bourriaud’s overview theory on Altermodernism. Evolving unpredictable behavior, what is actuality today can be false tomorrow (Characteristics of Postmodernism 2015). Postmodernists spurn conceptualization toward oneself and defence, traditional rationale and objectivity (Characteristics of Postmodernism 2015). Customary power is false and degenerate when postmodernists take a stand in opposition to the requirements of religious ethics and common power (Characteristics of Postmodernism 2015). They wage educated unrest to voice their worries about conventional foundation (Characteristics of Postmodernism 2015). Postmodernists regret the unfulfilled guarantees of science, innovation, government, and religion (Characteristics of Postmodernism 2015). Movement have an attitude believing morals to be relative, postmodernists subject ethical quality to individual supposition (Characteristics of Postmodernism 2015). They characterize profound quality as each individual 's private code of morals without the need to take after customary values and guidelines (Characteristics of Postmodernism 2015). Globalisations is a key factor, postmodernists guarantee that national limits are a block to human correspondence (Characteristics of Postmodernism 2015). Neo baroque still applies same techniques that baroque applied back in the seventeenth century, despite it being the twentieth century (Egginton 2010). Neo baroque can be declared as the continuation of its predecessor and applying its style not with the old theories, but with a notion to solve problems and moving forward (Egginton 2010). Egginton (2010) sees this matter, in its complex philosophical structure, concerns the confusing connection in the liminal appearance of what they refer to. He then does some findings and declarations of this matter in art and aesthetics of new and old Hispanic Baroques (Egginton 2010). The low key on the Figure 1 has forms of baroque technique that was used in the seventies by the use of terminology “Chiaroscuro” (Wilker 2013). Chiaroscuro basically means from ‘dark to light’ or high contrast (Wilker 2013). The visual artefact has the chiaroscuro effect. The other prominent technique is called “Sfumato” (Wilker 2013). Sfumato is mainly blurring and subtle blending of tones into one another, this is the glow depicted on the pastor’s computer screen and the halo kind of edges on the characters of Figure 1 (Wilker 2013).
