Onika Maraj, better known as Nicki Minaj is the most famous female rapper of our time. Nicki Minaj was born December 8, 1982. She was born in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago. She was then raised in South Jamaica, Queens, New York. Nicki Minaj gained public attention after her releasing of three mixtapes between 2007 and 2009. She later signed a recording contract with Young Money Entertainment in 2009. In 2010, Nicki Minaj released Pink Friday and it reached number one on the US Billboard 200. Everyone may think Nicki Minaj is the most weird, non-humble person ever. I truly believe Nicki Minaj is the Queen of rap because she’s an outstanding rapper, she stands for all women across the world, and she remembers where it all started.

Onika Maraj accomplishments show that she is the greatest female rapper alive. Her rapping is distinctive for its fast flow and the use of alter egos and accents such as her British cockney. Nicki Minaj is also known for her colorful costumes and wigs. She has sold over millions of records and had singles that made it to the top of the charts. In one of her songs she stated that “I’m still hood, Hollywood couldn’t change me.” On Nicki Minaj first mini television show, Nicki Minaj: The Truth, she took her family members from Trinidad shopping to get everything they needed to survive and even more. On her second mini television show she went back to where she grew up and gave back to community for everything they did for her when she was on the come up. She even went back to the nail shop she got her nails done at and gave the nail tech more than what the actual nail price was.
