My inspiration, my hero, my model, my cousin, my best friend, Nick Stevenson. I have been incredibly fortunate to say that I have known Nick all my life and, despite the ten year age gap, he is the greatest leader I could have hoped to know. Perhaps what’s more astounding is that his impact could never have existed.

When Nick was born, he was transferred immediately into emergency surgery to have heart reconstruction. In addition, he was having dysfunctional lungs and could not breathe on his own. He is an eagle scout, served as leader in his troop, and has been bestowed three eagle palms and the vigil award, the highest possible awards to be given to a scout. During high school, he actively participated in swimming and track and field, coached swimming after high school, and is the captain of his adult league basketball team. For instance, he is an avid videogamer, always loving to play video games, but he no longer owns any games he could not play with his niece and nephew and regularly buys games for them when they come to visit. He wakes up everyday to take a bus to work at 5 a.m and has never taken a personal day, sings in his church choir and the community variety shows while also taking voice lessons, he loves to cook, especially for his family, I would list more, but there really is no limit to all he
