One of the most notable leaders in world history is Adolf Hitler. According to Laurence Rees, Hitler’s “dark charisma” is what influenced millions of people to follow him and his regime (Rees, 2012). Although his acts of power resulted in death and chaos, he possessed leadership qualities that made him like no other of his time. He was charismatic and enthusiastic when speaking of his vision, and people took that as a sign of confidence, which was evident in Hitler’s captivating public speeches. Stalin wanted to convert Russia into a global superpower. He believed that through his cruel actions, the ends would justify the means.
