As stated on page 1, “A great conqueror, in 13 short years he amassed the largest empire in the entire ancient world....And he did this without the benefit of modern technology and weaponry.” (ushistory.org) This shows that Alexander the Great was very skilled in battle and the way he ruled his large empire allowed him to keep his power. This is significant because Alexander the Great was able to create the largest empire at the age of 20. Alexander the Great was loved by his followers in the military.
Alexander the Great inspired other leaders such as Julius Caesar, Napoleon, and Hitler. His courage as leader was a factor that led him to conquer the largest empire in the ancient world. As stated on the history channel, “He was an inspiring leader and personally a very brave soldier.” This shows that Alexander the Great was an inspirational leader that was loved by people because of his honesty, bravery, loyalty, and military skills. In addition, Machiavelli argues that men are “ungrateful, fickle, pretenders and dissemblers, evaders of danger, eager for gain”, which should dissuade princes from too much compassions, as they will be taken advantage of from the…
