I am honored to be considered a possible future member of our high school’s National Honors Society. I do my best to commit myself to becoming someone extraordinary. Back in middle school, I was a satisfied member of the National Junior Honors Society, and I would like to feel the same about NHS. I remember knowing how to be a leader with great character, being proud of my citizenship, and serving the community. I still have these qualities today, and, as a member of NHS, I could definitely improve each of these qualities. Over the summer, I went through an eight week experience that enhanced these characteristics that have taken a part in defining me. This program is a training program, preparing me for being a counselor at my summer camp. …show more content…
Becoming a member of any school activity is an amazing path to building friendships and character. The more involved I am, the more I can improve. One such activity that I actively involve myself in every year is the school musical. The musical cast works very hard, but the days and hours we practice interfere with some school clubs I take part in. This doesn’t stop me from everything. I still babysit, and I go to club meetings whenever we don’t have a rehearsal. I do my best to exceed in school, forming my schedule so I have time for both homework and extracurriculars. This year, I have filled my schedule with activities and opportunities, and I still have time to get my work done. After the school year ends, I plan to get a job working at Kosher Mart in Hershey Park, and join swim team. I already have an interview set up with the employer for Kosher Mart, and the money I earn with this job will go towards my future goals. Meanwhile, I pursue my education here at Central Dauphin High School, and I engage myself in many activities.
