The personal characteristics that have helped me continue to be a success involves integrity, compassion, and empathy. That is why I continue to show my gratitude by excelling in school, helping my brother in his studies and ensuring that i give back to the community, obey my parents , and have respect for everyone. My accomplishments include throughout my studies at Citizen's Academy and at Entrepreneurship Preparatory School awards as a Great Lakes Scholar, "Citizen of the Year", Math Olympian award recipient, placing first place in the science fair, perfect attendance, receiving the Principal Award as a High Performing student, maintaining a 4.0 GPA, and most importantly the great privilege of being a member of the Young Scholars Program in association with The Ohio State University Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Everyday I challenge myself to do better, learn more, and aim high. I spend each day with my grandmother and younger brother as my parents work everyday 7 days a week to provide for us. I assist my grandmother anyway I can as I know she is not as strong physically as she use to be and she does not speak English so i help translate as needed. I tutor my younger brother in his studies as needed as well as help my younger cousins whenever they visit. My family is very important to me. I also help my parents sometimes on the weekend at their business when they are short handed. This is good in providing me an opportunity to be more well rounded and to gain skills I need for the
