I chose to pick the prescription drug Nexplanon. The generic is Etonogestrel Implant. It is birth control in the form of an implant that is placed in the upper arm. Nexplanon provides birth control continuously for 3 years. Since the Nexplanon is mainly only implanted into females, the video’s target audience was a female audience. The makers of the video used women who appear strong, independent and have no space for a pregnancy in their busy lives. The video tries to get into the heads of the target audience and make them think about whether, for the next 3 years, pregnancy is a part of their life plan or not.
