 # The Importance Of Newton's Three Laws Of Motion

Newton's three laws of motion consist of information about gravity, force and acceleration. The law’s where written by Newton in 1666. Each law explains a different theory about how gravity works. The first law talks about why objects stay in motion or rest unless an unbalanced force is acted upon that object. The next law explains how force equals acceleration. The third law talks about how if any action is created there is a equal and opposite reaction that appears. Each one of these laws helps scientist understand how the world works and what effect will occur upon a moving object. Each one of Newton’s laws has a important meaning that changed the world for good. One of the most important laws was the first one.
Newton’s first law specifically explains that any object will stay at rest of uniform motion unless it is compelled to change its state by an external force. This means that if a ball is kicked into a field that is covered in grass than the ball would continue to stay in motion, although a few forces begin to act upon
This means that in every interaction there is a pair of forces that act upon the two interacting objects. For example if a egg is thrown at a concrete wall the egg will shatter. This happens because the egg has a thinner and softer shell then the concrete wall. Therefore as the egg hits the wall the impact of the wall breaks the egg. This example relates to Newton’s third law because the action being made is the egg being thrown at the concrete wall. While the equal and opposite reaction is the egg breaking once it hits the wall. These are opposites because the egg is thrown and in motion but eventually hits the wall and stops. These two actions are equal because the same force is being applied to the egg from when it leaves your hand to when it hits the wall. This law is very important to engineers because it helps to protect whatever is inside the

Rutherford performed an experiment called the Gold Foil Experiment were fired alfa particles through a small slit at a very thin sheet of gold foil. Alfa particles are relatively massive particles travelling at a high speed so Rutherford thought all of the Alfa particles would pass through the gold foil.
