It Has to be True
(Satire Essay)

The newspaper contain many stories, every day there is a new jaw dropping story. Newspapers are a necessity for many people, because they keep people informed about numerous facts. Newspapers are used in almost every town, without the tragic stories there would be no other way to hear of the incidents. Whether it is weather, obituaries,or just news about things that are happening in the neighborhood, it is a way to keep people up to date. Everything that is in the paper has to be true, or why else would they put it on paper where everyone could read it. The three main points about the newspaper that either needs changed or just overall facts would be, why it can’t be a lie, what else the paper should have,

Even though there is plenty of truthful stories in the paper they should put an article in the paper about the local high schools. The article should tell about the overall clean school. By clean, I mean the article should describe how there is no drug use, no under age parites that are usually held on weekends, and how there is absolutely no drama. Getting the boring stories of underaged people will make it so the elders or parents of the students will feel more relaxed about their kids. Because there is not one single student that ever does wrong in Worland, High School. Besides the high school in Worland, there is also no drama in any other school in the state, or any school around the country, because starting drama is something no teenager …show more content…
The writers of the paper would never lie or exaggerate a story, because that could cause many problems and devastating outcomes. The local paper should also have stories relating to high schools in the area, because every parent in the district should always be proud of their kids because they never go to parties, do drugs or start drama. Local high schools are nothing but good, and adding the success of it into a local paper would be an on going up spiral. Ways to capture attention of more readers would be to add more comics and weather pages in paper. Because everyone understands the awesome comics. and then people do not hear enough of the weather from the news or weather apps on their phones, so another page of weather would be a must

Samuel L. Jackson once said, “We’ve come a long way in our thinking, but also in our moral decay.” This quote holds true today as society stays rapidly changing and people become more and more desensitized to the horrors of the world. The line between right and wrong fades and turns to a larger gray area, and many things that happen in society today make us question how we, as a collective people, ended up where we are and how we acquired the customs we have today. Aldous Huxley, in his novel Brave New World, uses a great deal of satire and exaggeration to express his concerns for the society he was born into and bring attention to the problems of moral decay, drug dependency, and brainwashing, among other things, in the world.…

The advertisements found throughout, offer a breakthrough in black stereotypes. Blacks were seen as inferior, being able to do nothing but slave related work, such as field work or domestic work. Many whites didn’t think blacks could be educated or do same skills like a white person would. Headlines are the most important factor on a newspaper page. Two shocking statistics were noted in the chapter nine reading that backup why a headline is necessary. A study done by The Readership Institute recorded on average, readers spend only about 26 minutes a day reading a Monday- Friday print newspaper. And according to the Nielsen Analysis, reported in the 2010 State of the News Media report, users of the top 20 news websites spend only 3 minutes and 4 seconds per visit. Because so little time is spent reading newspapers and online websites, the headline gives most readers the information of the entire news story.…

Naseeb Kaur – I I know what it's like to make people happy. Admittedly I didn't mean to walk head-first into a glass door like that Pakistani Engineer in his college video, or trip down a 100ft bore well like nation’s beloved pranky Prince of Kurukshetra, but beggars can't exactly be choosers, and so I make fun of people around me and sometimes of myself to make people laugh. To see smile on all those faces, well, for a brief moment of time is worth living. This is the same reason why I write satire, mainly on my previous and current room-mates, all of whom have had an ego of the size of a sick antelope, and don’t actually mind being made fun of.…
