If the Newseum is torn down, the first amendment will not have a place to be celebrated just for itself, so there will be no place to celebrate the first American Constitutional freedom. President Trump is pressuring Congress into passing a bill that will start a project to make room for new monuments. The project will consist of tearing down monuments that the government feels are unnecessary. The project will ruin DC and the American spirit. If the bill does pass, the Newseum should definitely not be torn down since it is a reminder of what America is, it will have horrible economic effects on the country, and tearing it down will diminish the American spirit. It has fifteen galleries and fifteen theatres. A couple of the memorable exhibits are the 9/11 exhibit and the Berlin Wall exhibit. It also traces the evolution of communication, including the birth of the radio to the present day technology. It also has classes that teach students the importance of the five freedoms in the first amendment. It hosts program also talking about the importance of the first amendment and have special guests on occasions to talk about it. It is an exhibit on how rock inspired speech against the government and inspired people to write things that they believed in, even if it criticized the government.
