Te Papa is New Zealand’s national museum, it is situated on wellingtons stunning waterfront and is easily accessible due to taxi stands being right out the front. It also has an onsite pay and display carpark available for visitors. It is also a great conference and events location, it has 20 conference rooms available the smallest room being able to hold 8 people and the largest holding 500 plus people dependent on room layout. They can cater for all styled layouts like Banquet, cocktail, classroom style, theatre, and they cater for many events like graduations, 21st and wakes. As they offer car parking availability, catering and an opportunity to have breakout venues within their vicinity. A weakness they have is that you are unable to bring your own food or beverages and for this reason thy may lose potential clients, for example people who are tight budgets and want to organise their own catering and beverages to cut costs but thoroughly enjoy the venue may have to decline the opportunity to hold their event their I see this as weakness but I can also understand why they have this rule in place due to the importance of Health and safety. Since the museum does not close until 6pm some conference rooms are not available until a later time, for example the Wellington foyer is a part of the museum, therefore if someone was wanting to hire the foyer for an event it would not be able to start until later as the earliest setup time could be …show more content…
Carter observatory can also include cable car fare’s in their all over price therefore the guests will not have to worry about driving their or paying for the cable car at the time of their event. The Planetarium is one other great strength of the Observatory as it offers such an exciting unique experience to the visitors. One weakness they occurred is not offering any sort of catering or alcoholic beverages, it is all to be dealt with off-site and brought
