I am investigating the effects of design on habits in order to find out how communication design can be used to help reduce littering in the New York subway. My thesis will focus solely on New York subway pollution, specifically targeting the human behavior of throwing trash, by using gamefication, alerts and navigation.
After researching, the fact is the pollution in the subway is not only caused by passengers but also caused by the employees. The lack of cleaning and delayed schedules.
