There are many reasons why I would like to attend New York Film Academy. I started acting when I moved to Phoenix in the 6th grade. I went to an amazing school that had great funding in the performing arts and was able to learn many useful skills. Acting provided me with a foundation that paved my High School career. I based my high school classes around acting and a class that I took to make friends turned into a passion. Now completing my senior year my passion has grown tremendously and my skill level has grown as well. I was so blessed to have an incredible acting teacher in highschool who has prepared me to continue acting through college. Over the years I have won Superiors at thespian festivals in monologues one acts and a short scene. …show more content…
Which I know is exactly what I will experience while attending New York Film Academy due to the intensity. This is a serious acting school that will prepare me for my future. The focus at this school through allowing students to create movies while attending the school is one of my favorite parts of the Academy. The hands on experience will allow me to start my career directly after college. This is something that few colleges offer. The creative freedom allows for us to have real life experience along with teaching us life lessons and leadership skills, which I know will be extremely useful in my career. I have heard so many amazing things about the faculty and I know they will have so many things to teach me. I ready to learn those things to improve my skill level. I am good at taking corrections and I know that I will apply those corrections I am given by the faculty.
