New York City's Graveyard Shift is an essay about everyday people having night jobs in New York City. The essay talks about some of the people’s experience and thoughts about their night jobs. It is the norm to have a 9 to 5 job in the city, coming home to having the rest of the day to yourself, or going home to cook dinner for your family. For the rest of the city, people are just getting up to prepare themselves for night of labor. My favorite photo from the essay has to be of Villavicencio a drag queen that is performing at the Therapy Bar in Manhattan. This type of photo is an action shot that is capturing the action of the audience and Villavicencio. It seems that Villavicencio is singing a song in the picture as the audience is clapping
