If I was opening my own pharmacy in my healthcare organization, first I would do research on the area, the clientele, the funding, and get try to get familiar with the customer base. Assuming I am a pharmacist I should already have my Doctorate in Medicine.
The Doctorate provides everything that is needed to operate effectively and efficiently. Customer Education is required by the Pharmacist to ensure safe dosage, risk factors, and side effects of medications.

I would also make sure all inspectors have inspected the pharmacy site, I would make sure all permits and licenses have been issued and displayed on the wall.
The next step to opening my pharmacy would be to hire appropriate, and necessary staff, that are educated, and licensed. The staff at the pharmacy would include pharmacists, pharmacist assistants, and cashiers.
The satisfied customers would serve as advocates for my pharmacy? Why? Because word of mouth is the best source of information. The information could be good or bad; however, news always travels faster by mouth. Business should always strive for Customer excellence; however, customer satisfaction is always the goal to achieve; however, customer satisfaction, and excellence are sometimes hard to achieve, especially when dealing with the public.
As I stated before, the role of pharmacist have changed from the traditional mom and pop pharmacies, thus making more job duties and responsibilities on me.
