Geographic Location
The College of New Jersey is located in the Ewing Township, a suburb of Trenton, New Jersey. The neighborhoods can be traced back as far as the 1500’s by the Lenape tribe and was first settled by Europeans in the early 17th century by William Green, whose farmhouse is part of the college campus. TCNJ is home to over 289 colonial acres, which includes attractions, such as The Benjamin Temple House and Mountain View Golf Course. The surrounding Ewing has direct access to Interstate 95, US Route 206, and Route 29, to connect people to Philadelphia, Princeton, and Frenchtown, respectively.
Academic Requirements
According to The College Board, TCNJ is a very selective college with only 49% of its 11,290 applicants admitted. In addition to stressing the importance of rank and test scores, the college should also be noted for taking great interest in the status of a student’s volunteer work. 43% of students accepted scored between a 500 to 599 on the SAT Critical Reading exam. 50% of the said freshmen had also scored anywhere from a 600 to 699 on the SAT Math. According to its ACT statistics, 63% of the accepted applicants had scored in the mid to late 20’s out of a perfect score of 36.
