The 1920s was a decade of new inventions. Advances in technology shaped the US into a new world and led to the age of electricity in many homes of Americans. The cities were powered by electricity. Devices such as cars, refrigerators, washing machines, radios, and vacuum cleaners were new interventions in America. These technologies gave Americans more leisure time especially for women. New inventions reduced the difficulties of houseworks and gave American more time to do other things other than working.

The first radio station was KDKA who were issued on 1920 with the first ever license. However, during the 20s, it become more reliable as prices drop and most Americans own cars. Automobiles affected American society because everyone started buying automobiles. Automobiles allowed people all over the US to meet more people. Allowed people to go where they wanted and improved tourism.
