New Hope Case Study

I had a spectacular day! Census was very low so there wasn’t much to do as far as case management, so Jamie and I got to spend some time just talking about things and why things are done the way they are. New Hope is located on the 4th floor of St. Vincent Hospital, but they are technically owned by Kindred Healthcare. Since we coordinate quite a few transfers for patients who have had a stroke or TBI, some of the staff at New Hope knew me or at least knew of me. Honestly, I was hoping they would really like me at New Hope and hire me for the recently vacated social work position. I also wanted to help, because I knew the nurses were inundated with all this extra work since they no longer had a social worker to handle all the discharge planning.

The most efficient outcome would be for the step-mother to pay Tula the $20 to stop playing her music out loud. Since Tula owns the phone, then she has the right to play whatever music she wants, whenever she wants to. This seems plausible because the step-mother is willing to pay money to avoid the situation, which in result should cause Tula to stop playing the music out loud. In this situation, the older sisters cannot do much but encourage the step-mother to pay Tula to stop. Since, Tula seems very interested in continuing her actions, the most efficient way is to pay her to stop and therefore help the sisters from not experiencing any brain damage.…

Despite the Sotheby’s auction dislocating many key artifacts from their Memphis roots, a final round of public and private fundraising brought the newly renamed Soulsville Foundation to its stated financial goal and they broke ground in 2001. This occurred a mere ten years after LeMoyne -Owen College began the Community Development Corp initiative and twelve years after the city razed the original building. In 2001, the Commercial Appeal estimated the combined efforts of Soulsville Inc.’s Stax Museum of American Soul Music, Stax Music Academy, Soulsville Charter School with the LeMoyne - Owen College efforts in the strategic development zone caused more than $100 million dollars to flow into the revitalized South Memphis neighborhood between…

My day started a bit off, I had an emergency that morning that made me run a bit late for clinical. This made me miss some important information such as, how nurses in NCBH hand over to the next shift, but aside that, I had a wonderful day working with nurse Mrs. Osei. She welcomes me by introducing herself, which I responded likewise. She took me with her to do her morning rounds and administer medication to her assigned patient. When people hear that a person is “homeless,” I’m sure the first thing that comes to mind is a bum, dirty clothes, a drug addict, and a drunk. However, that is not the case at all. Living in times like these, recession plays a huge role on unemployment rates which eventually leads to homelessness. Not only that but natural disasters like Hurricane Sandy, left thousands of people homeless in New York.…
