In the show New Girl we see that many of these messages are shown.First the two girls are out looking for cute guys to spend the night with see an opportunity with a party and end up at sleeping with the men or so it's portrayed that way.But in all actuality they didn't have sex at all.Yet they are afraid to admit to each other that they didn't have sex because thats not “cool”.When they leave they speak to each other commenting that they shouldn’t have to go through the “walk of shame”.Near the end where we see that you should have many relationships,and that they are perishable is when she’s with her ex boyfriend and the guy she just slept with the other night.Showing its okay for that to happen and that relationships are not of much value.This is more established in this generation's culture more than it has ever been throughout any other.The article Young teens and sex covers this perfectly with the poll’s of the teens themselves.”If you count everybody in the seventh and eighth grade most are virgins but make up lies and stories to fit in because not having sex isn't cool.”(Young Teens and …show more content…
