Roosevelt created. Roosevelt felt the need to have the federal government take charge to help the American citizens during this hard time. Since thousands of banks were closed because of The Great Depression Roosevelt declared a four-day bank holiday, it was also when the Congress drafted the Emergency Banking Bill of 1933. This made sure the banks were all stabilized and so citizens could have faith in the banking industry and so they can also put the federal government behind them. According to the passage The New Deal, “ the Civil Conservation Corps was one of the New Deal’s most successful programs.” This program was addressing the problems of unemployment workers, to make it better they sent over 3 million single men by the ages of 17 to 23 to work in the nation’s forest. Another program is the Works Progress Administration, it was Roosevelt's major work relief program, examples he would employ about 8.5 million people to build bridges, public buildings, roads, parks, and airports, mainly the basic things we use today. It's insane of how many people have to do all of this work and starting off at such a young age in the first place. Overall by doing this hopefully, it's helping the families in desperate need of
