For this new Church, the closest cell was Ikoyi Home Fellowship. Thus, the Church determined to release members of the Ikoyi Home Fellowship along with those who lived in Victoria Island and its adjoining surroundings to form the core group for the new Church. The pastor and deacons engaged the individual members of the chosen Home Fellowship in discussions and dialogue for this purpose. Though some were excited about the opportunity, others were indifferent. However, there were those who were unwilling to leave the membership of New Estate Baptist Church. These people were encouraged to consider the Church plant as a prospect for expanding God 's kingdom. Notably, no one was forced to leave New Estate Baptist Church. There are seven Home Fellowship Cells, thirty Ministries, Departments, and Committees (MDCs) such as Sunday School, Prayer, Utilities, Personnel, Finance, Trustees, Home Fellowship, Beautification, Protocol, Visitor 's Parlor/Counselling/Visitation, Projects, Youths, Teens, Men, Women, Membership, Music, Audit, Hausa Ministry, Drama, Legal, Publicity/Publications, Social Ministry, Care Ministry, Outreach, and a thriving Children 's Ministry. Additionally, the Church has planted a church on the Peninsula. There are nine serving deacons, two volunteer pastors, and two full-time pastors. The Project Director serves as the lead pastor of the
