Our Lord took this new perspective of serving as the indispensable quality in his disciple. In fact, the New Covenant gives the highest priority to the serving of the spiritual meal both inside and outside of the church.
As we recall the services of our Lord Jesus Christ, he serves the spiritual hunger to an extent that even the Samaritan woman was given the eternal water . This was totally unacceptable in that historical cultural context, yet the love of God has crossed the deep sea of racism and the religious difference . For that same reason, our Lord challenged the early disciples to rethink the definition of neighbor and then he commanded them to love their neighbor. Finally, in the context of this New Covenant, he gives his church the great commission, and commands her to cross all the deep seas of human prejudice.

It’s inconceivable as well as unbelievable to think that caring wholistically for one another wasn’t so essential for the church or most Christians 50 years or so ago as it is today. But, all praise to God for illuminating minds and guiding hearts over the years and bringing us to where we’re at today in our journey of bringing the gospel and the work of Jesus Christ to others as Christians. The work of caring wholistically for our neighbors, God’s image-bearers has just begun, and God is well and active in it more than ever before. Again, all praise to Him because 50 years ago, there’s rarely 30 churches that openly proclaim and carry out the work of caring wholistically for other humans on this earth. But today, by the grace of God, there…

Reverberation: How God’s Word Brings Light, Freedom, and Action to His People Jonathan Leeman’s Reverberation serves as a call for all in the pulpit and in the pews to renew their confidence in the authority and power of God’s Word. While Leeman acknowledges most church’s proverbial “lip service” to the importance of the Bible, he seeks to elevate the ministry of the Word as the ultimate ministry of the church. If God is for the growth of the church and not against it, then what is his design to bring that growth about? Ironically, through the Word, Leeman “re-reveals” God’s design is to grow the church through his Word.…

As followers of Christ, Christians must be knitted together in love. If there is discord among the brethren, how then can we stand for Christ and impact this world for His glory? As Christians, it is essential to strive humbly led by the Holy Ghost to go out into the world to tell people about getting right with God. However, it is essential that we be right with God ourselves as well as our brothers and sisters from other races and ethnicities. If we, the body of Christ, are divided or experience schisms in the body of Christ because of racism, which is a sin that Jesus overcame and has given us the power to overcome, it can be more difficult to stand as ambassadors of Christ to the world when we are not all on one accord.…

The church is the community of God’s children, which is essential for salvation. Whether the community is together in fellowship, as a congregation, or during global ministry, each avenue leads people to salvation.
