New Belgium Brewing is doing a lot regarding social responsibilities. For one, the company tries hard to improve communities and improve people's lives through corporate giving, sponsorship, and philanthropic donations with one percent of its profits. Also, New Belgium Brewing have a community bulletin board, where they posts many community involvement activities.
With that said, New Belgium brand has become known for two things, quality and sustainability. Along with New Belgium’s strive for sustainability, their most important asset is the image of the brand, which stands for quality, responsibility, and concern for society. That is why New Belgium Brewing has more competitive advantage than other companies. 3. In order to stay competitive in the craft beer industry, New Belgium must compete against craft beer alternatives for example the ones mentioned before Boston Beer Co. and Sierra Nevada breweries. Also, New Belgium needs to be constantly alert to its environment and their competitors to compete in an increasingly competitive brewing industry.
However, I do not think New Belgium Brewing will lose focus of their core beliefs if their market share increases because there is a strong competition. And New Belgium Brewing doesn’t have time to hesitate or stop. The company needs to maintain its customer relationship and social responsibility and at the same time improve the already potent beer.
