Never Placed In Special Classes

In elementary school, I was never considered smart. I was placed in special classes for kids who needed extra help and my grades were far from excellent. Until I reached fifth grade where things got to an all time low. My parents were contacted about half way through the year and my teacher suggested I get tested for Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The doctor confirmed my teacher's suspicion and I was put on medication. The medication changed everything.. I began paying better attention and started remembering to turn in my homework. The following year I was placed in a couple special classes once again, but this time they were advanced!
